A condition referred to as Pseudo-gynecomastia or false Gynecomastia mimics true Gynecomastia. In Pseudo-Gynecomastia the breast enlargement is due to fat deposits rather than true glandular enlargement
General Information About the Surgery
Treatment consists of excision of the firm glandular tissue through a semicircular incision placed at the base of the areola, similar to that used in breast augmentation
I like to include liposuction, to contour the remaining breast area which has fat interspersed with the enlarged glandular tissue
If the nipples are puffy these can be addressed also during this procedure
Anesthesia: General preferred
Surgical time: 2 to 3 hours
Recovery time: 3-4 week
